For years, Ernest Freeman has been a core component of Cox Roofing’s production team. He began as a member of Cox’s production team in 2007. Since then, he’s gained a career, not just a job, working his way up from most junior estimator to Senior Estimator within the company. And In February 2020, he was promoted to Sales Manager.

Q: “What are three words to describe Cox Roofing?”
A: “Integrity, craftsmanship and longevity.”
Q: “What do you like most and least about your job at Cox Roofing?”
A: “I love the sense of family and being a part of a team. My least favorite part of my job is telling a customer that a roof they just had installed by another contractor was done incorrectly and needs to be replaced again.”
Q: “Do you have a favorite quote that inspires you in your work?”
A: “ Leaders become great not because of their power but, because of their ability to empower others.”
Q: “You worked for other companies before joining the Cox family. What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?”
A: “When I first graduated from high school, I got a job with Waste Connections, a garbage company, as a container repair person. I delivered new trash containers and repaired the ones that were broken.”
Q: “Best vacation you’ve ever been on?”
A: “Mexico — my wife and I got married on the beach in Mexico and stayed for seven days. Best vacation ever!”
Q: “Outside of work, what do you do for fun?”
A: “ I have been a martial arts instructor for the last 25 years. Teaching and training has been a huge passion in my life.”
